Latest design software showcased with record attendance!

Last week saw Southern England’s first launch event of Autodesk’s® range of 2009 products, the latest release across the range of design and draughting packages now incorporates a Windows Office “look and feel”, giving customers greater familiarity and efficiency. Adris Computing Concepts, one of Autodesk’s® leading resellers in the UK, held a two day event at the Botleigh Grange Hotel, near Southampton to showcase the new features of the software.
The two day event was attended by over 160 people, an increase of over 26% since 2007, from businesses all over Southern England, in particular Dorset and Hampshire. Rob Goddard, Managing Director of Adris opened the event and stated that “I am very pleased with the turnout this year, it is important that businesses keep up-to-date with new software developments coming on to the market in order to remain competitive in today’s tough economic environment”.
The user days are now an annual feature in the Adris calendar, Paul Tolputt, a Design Engineer from Microfiltrex in Fareham commented that “this event gets better each year”. As well as AutoCAD 2009, Adris also presented the new releases of AutoCAD Inventor, Autocad/Revit Architecture and MEP, 3DS Max as well as Advance Steel, the leading structural steel solution from Adris’ parent company Graitec S.A.
The aim of the event was to inform both customers and non-customers how to utilise their Autodesk® software and to ensure users can get the most from their design packages. The content covered everything from Installation and Hardware trends through to customising AutoCAD 2009 with handy tips and tricks to make using design software a more streamlined and effective process.
